A subtraction of fractionso where the denominators have no factors in common so we simpllly multiply the two together to create the LCD. Then both fractions are adjusted by multiplying each fraction by a form ofone so that the denominars are the same and so are the values of each fracition. Once that is completlle we can combine and simplify the numerators creating a single fraciton with that same LCD.
